About the event
Flying High for the Holidays brings a little swing to the season with classic holiday tunes made famous by the original ladies of jazz. Think Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Rosemary Clooney, and the women who made Christmas music a whole lot cooler.
With fresh arrangements, a terrific band led by award-winning, Champian Fulton, and special guest Tawanda Suessbrich-Joaquim, winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, the show brings the sounds of the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s back to life with plenty of warmth, wit, and swing. It’s festive, nostalgic, and just sophisticated enough to make your average holiday playlist feel a little underdressed.
